While Blue Ridge is beautiful in every season, in the fall the colors explode in layers of vibrant oranges, yellows and reds. Planet EarthThis was painted from a photo that my friend, Laurie, gave me. I love it because, as a Star Trek fan, I was attracted to the other worldly look of the landscape. It blooms at graduation time, in June, so is in all our children's graduation pictures. The oriental lantern was purchased in Japan by my husband and I. While most of the year the wild ground cover and pine trees are glorious shades of green, in the fall, the ground cover bursts into scarlet hues that look as if it's almost on fire.Frame not included.
